November 30th, 2009 - Some Extra Benefits of SEO
In business, many clients overlook the real results that they’re getting during Search Engine Marketing.
They look at they keywords, they see what they are paying for, but what they do not see are the many other factors that are affecting the outcome of their site.
When a site gets properly optimized, it is being transformed into a thought-out navigational pattern to information. This is the same pattern a search engine spider looks for. Don’t forget, the easier you make it for a spider to index your site, the better your chances are for getting your site a higher placement in the search engine results page.
W3C validation is always going to be important, and as such any website should want to reach it. One thing that it won’t help with however, is the rankings. Yahoo does not care about the validation so long as it has good content. This is what will keep your page at the top.
Another element when optimizing a site is that through proper naming of page titles, file names and placement of content make the site all the more relevant to the spider. Although Google places less value on Meta Tags, they are still used as part of the algorithm, and should not be overlooked.
When you’ve finished coding the site, and done it right, then Search Engine Marketing finally comes into play. By doing this you are ensuring the traffic to your site will be increased, and there are a number of different ways that you can do this. For instance you could use articles, you could use press releases, blogs, just about anything.
There are now other benefits stemming from Search Engine Marketing which will start to show up. For instance if you’ve been doing press releases where you spoke about a new color of widget for some time, and you list the colors that you have for sale, you have created what is known as an In-Bound Link which will go to your site for Red Widget, however having mentioned the other colors, they will gain their own IBL’s.
An even greater demonstration of a collateral benefit is ranking for keywords and phrases that you aren’t targeting. Keeping to our widget example, if your site copy talks about the different uses of widgets, the available colors that they come in and the best way to preserve your widget, you’ve just created a multitude of various phrases that your site can get ranked on.
So you’ve now seen a bit of what your website can do when it is properly optimized. Done properly, each page will have a rank, and that rank will drive more traffic to your website.
Though it might seem rather insignificant, your contact page also needs to be well optimized. If you have a physical business, the search engines will be able to geo target your site so long as your street address is listed. This isn’t something that is being widely done as of yet, but it will be a major factor in the future.
In conclusion, the next time you start checking Google to see where your site ranks for it’s keyword phrases, don’t forget about all of the hidden keywords/phrases that are embedded in your site’s copy. You would be surprised at how many of those forgotten about terms end up at the top of the pile….

November 29th, 2009 - Pictures That Anyone Will Like
This year for Christmas do not purchase another lame meat and cheese assortment for your parents. Please put a little more thought into it and purchase a cool new battery operated picture light. Battery operated picture lights are all the rage in the land of updated picture frames. With all of the new types of digital picture frames you are bound to find something for everyone in your family, including your parents. Then you will be able to show them a great family picture, rather than another basket of clich Christmas goods. Digital picture frames, Keychain picture frames, and digital picture cards are amid some of the coolest and modern equipment to own. Therefore they are some of the neatest Christmas presents to purchase this year.
How would you like to see all of your wedding pictures or Easter pictures put up one after another on one single picture frame? No, you do not have to change the picture every day and no it is not a miracle, but it is a very cool new innovation. Digital picture frames display one picture after another on one screen by using technology that is similar to a desktop slideshow on your computer. You simply insert the digital SD card from your portable digital camera and then it displays pictures for you, one after another. Digital picture frames come in several different colors and offer different lighting and slideshow techniques also.
Digital picture frames just got even cooler. There are now even smaller versions that hook onto different things as a keychain. These frames are wonderful for children or even seniors in high school for graduation. Pictures of friends can be proudly displayed upon backpacks while it continuously runs on a battery. These are great as presents or as a small product for yourself. The only difference with these is that they hook up to the computer and pictures are downloaded like that instead of hooking up an SD card. These have a certain amount of space as far as how many pictures they can hold, so it is kind of runs like an mp3 player device.
Digital picture frames no matter what sizes are extremelvery cool, but what makes them work is even cooler. You used to have to print out photos straight from your camera, but now you can move them from one device to another by simply using a simple save and transfer device. By using this you can carry your pictures with you, without bringing your camera. The safest thing to do is to always have the picture card in its case or in the camera because it is very tiny and can get lost very easily without you even knowing about it.
Surprise everyone this Christmas with crazy fun gifts that are not too expensive and very cool to receive. Everyone loves a great picture, so why not modernize it and offer a cool new technology for your parents, your sister, or even your wild uncle. They are not hard to operate and very easy to use.
Connor Sullivan is an entrepreneur who runs a large group of websites that specialize in high end items such as a battery operated picture light site. He found that battery operated picture lights is a popular item on his website.
November 28th, 2009 - The Myth Of Using Laxatives To Lose Weight
More than half of the people in this country need to lose weight. Sadly, way too many of them want to achieve weight loss by taking shortcuts rather than actually changing their lifestyles and eating habits. One of the most abused shortcuts is using laxatives to lose weight. The benefits of this are nothing more than a lie.
Laxatives don’t improve nutritional choices. What they do is stimulate the bowels, often resulting in painful cramps and having to go to the bathroom a lot more often. The cramping induced by laxatives often expells the excrement under force. Unfortunately, the majority of this material is really water. It might seem like someone has lost two or three pounds using laxatives, but as soon as they quit taking them, they put back on the weight as soon as they’re hydrated again.
And using laxatives too often can lead to a variety of serious health ailments. The body might become dependent on laxatives, unable to produce satisfactory bowel movements without them. Because the force of cramps expelling waste out of the rectum is so strong, the bloody tears in the the rectum can result that have a very high risk of infection as additional waste passes through the area. One can become seriously dehydrated and weak, unable to function in a normal manner.
Many people have said that it is possible to speed up weight loss and maintain that weight through the use of laxatives. This information should not be trusted or believed, because it is flat-out wrong. Rather, using laxatives as a form of weight loss is symptomatic of a serious eating disorder called bulimia. The most notable difference is that bulimics use purgatives to encourage vomiting of the food and forcing the remainder of it down in a laxative action, while laxative abuse is typically more mild and does not include vomiting.
Yet, extensive use of laxatives can make a person feel nauseated and cause him/her to need to vomit food back up out of the digestive tract. It’s a sad fact, but many people who use laxatives in this way end up needing medical intervention to get them free of laxatives.
Some people may claim that using laxatives is a good route to rapid weight loss. These people are actually spreading a lie that will hurt the well-being of anyone who thinks that abuse of laxatives or any other medication is a smart way to reach a weight loss goal.

November 25th, 2009 - How To Start An Affiliate Marketing Business
Revenue sharing is the concept of paying commission for referred business, this predates affiliate marketing and the Internet. Translated, the revenue share principles to mainstream e-commerce happened after the World Wide Web started in November’94.The consensus of marketers and adult industry insiders is that Cybererotica was either the first or among the early innovators in affiliate marketing with a cost per click program.
In November of 94′, CDNOW launched the BuyWeb program and was the first non-adult website to introduce the concept of an affiliate or associate program with click-through purchasing. The idea that music-oriented websites could review or list albums on their pages that their visitors may purchase. These websites also offer a link that takes the visitor directly to CDNOW to purchase the albums. The idea for remote purchasing originally arose because of conversations with music label Geffen Records in the fall of’94. The management at Geffen wanted to sell its artists’ CDs directly from its website, but did not want to implement this capability itself. Geffen asked CDNOW if it could design a program where CDNOW would handle the order fulfillment. Geffen realized that CDNOW could link directly from the artist on its website to Geffen’s website, bypassing the CDNOW home page and going directly to an artist’s music page.
Amazon.com launched an associate program in July 96′. An associate could place a banner or text links on their site for individual books, or link directly to the Amazon home page. When visitors clicked from the associate’s website through to Amazon and purchased a book, the associate received a commission. Amazon was not the first merchant to offer an affiliate program, but its program was the first to become widely-known and serve as a model for subsequent programs.
Internet-based affiliate marketing is the practice in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by their marketing efforts. It’s the application of crowd sourcing. The Marketing industry core has four distinct area’s: the Merchant (also known informally as ‘Retailer’ or ‘Brand’), the Network, the Publisher (also known informally as ‘the Affiliate’) and the Customer. The market has grown sufficiently in complexity to warrant a secondary tier of players, including Affiliate Management Agencies, Super-Affiliates and Specialized Third Parties vendors.
Internet marketing methods do overlap at times, because affiliates will use regular advertising methods. Those methods include organic search optimization, paid search marketing, e-mail marketing, and in some sense display advertising. On the other hand, affiliates sometimes use less orthodox techniques, such as publishing reviews of products or services offered by a partner.
Using one website to drive traffic to another is a form of online marketing, and sometimes overlooked by advertisers. While search engines, e-mail, and website syndication capture much of the attention of online retailers, affiliate marketing carries a much lower profile. Still, affiliates continue to play a significant role in e-retailers’ marketing strategies.
The case of cost per mille/click is that the publisher is not concerned about a visitor being a member of the audience that the advertiser tries to attract and is able to convert, because at this point the publisher has already earned his commission. This leaves the greater, and, in case of cost per mille, the full risk and loss if the visitor is not directed to the advertiser.Cost per action/sale methods require that referred visitors do more than visit the advertiser’s website before the affiliate receives commission. The advertiser must convert that visitor first. It is in the best interest for the affiliate to send the most closely-targeted traffic to the advertiser as possible to increase the chance of a conversion. The risk and loss is shared between the affiliate and the advertiser.
“Performance marketing” also called affiliate marketing is in reference to how a sales employees would typically be compensated. They are typically paid a commission for each sale they close, and at times get payed performance incentives for exceeding baselines of the targeted amount. Affiliates are not employed by the advertiser of the products or services they promote, but the compensation models applied to affiliate marketing are very similar to the ones used for people in the advertisers’ internal sales department.
“Affiliates are an extended sales force for your business”, which is often used to explain affiliate marketing, and this is not completely accurate. The primary difference between the two is that affiliate marketers provide little if any influence on a possible prospect in the conversion process once that prospect is directed to the advertiser’s website. The sales team of the advertiser, however, does have the control and influence up to the point where the prospect signs the contract or completes the purchase.

November 24th, 2009 - Loans
Some men believe that life is fleeting – and indeed it is. One minute you’re playing with building blocks, and the next you’re going on dates. Then, before you know it, you’re working and looking for a place to say. It’s just part of life. However, life can be rather stressful. And in today’s competitive atmosphere, people sometimes have to wait for decades before they can really have “the good life”. And by then, they’re often made jaded and cynical by all the years of hardships. So, I wonder, why wait? Ask for a loan and experience the good life today.
Need to get through school? Get a student loan. Need a car? Get a car loan. Need a crib? Get a home loan. All you’ll ever need is a stable salary that enables you to pay for the things you want in staggered amounts. You don’t have to get stuck in a dump if you don’t want to. If you keep your life on track, you should not have any trouble living the good life. But how exactly do you stay on track and your loans in check? Easy, just take note of these three things and you should be okay.
Good Credit, Bad Credit
First and foremost, if you’re going to apply for a loan, be certain that you yourself are trustworthy. People who have good credit ratings are given lower interest rates. People with bad credit ratings, however, would not only find it difficult to get a loan, they also have higher interest rates and receive fewer reprieves. If they miss a few weeks of payment, the creditors are usually on them like hounds. So, if you’re going to get a loan, try to improve your credit rating first. You’ll be saving a lot of money in the long run.
Loan only the Appropriate Amount
A general rule in getting a loan is to borrow only the amount of money that you can afford to pay off. Say for example, if you’re going to get an automobile loan, make sure that the monthly fee isn’t 15% of your monthly take home salary. For a house loan, make sure that it won’t go over 25%. This is very crucial, because you don’t want to be crippled by your debts. Keep this quote in mind and you should be fine: Live within your means.

November 24th, 2009 - The Trusted Holmes Magnifying Glass – Seeing Is Believing
Not so long ago I came across my grandpa’s old Sherlock Holmes magnifying glass tucked inside one of his favorite books. He used to love reading with it and upon holding it in my hands again, a flood of memories came rushing back to where I was a child. In the experimental stage of my life I used to nick his magnifier and round up some friends and we would set off into the woods.
Setting things alight was so much fun and our imaginations took us to new heights. We did not of course think we would destroy a corn field in the process. Just by concentrating the sun’s light onto a leaf or a piece of paper and even dare I say your hand, was a thrill and sent us in spats of laughter.
It was only recently we I remembered those days when I started thinking about the magnifier and it significance. Did you know that way back in 1021 it was written about already. I am sure it dates back even further to when glass was produced in Italy. There must have been people who found that looking through a curved piece of glass it would appear bigger. How you see things will depend on how far you hold the lens to an object. The closer you hold it the less it would magnify. The further away you hold the more magnification you can obtain.
There are a few ways to obtain your magnification. They say that you must hold the lens close to an eye and move towards an object and as you move your head with the lens then the object starts enlarging. Or another way can be to hold the lens close to the object and with your hand start adjusting the length back and forth to get to the desired enlargement.
The actual workings behind it is extremely technical and as such, I will not dare to go into detail, suffice to in layman’s terms – light passes through the lens and at the same time the speed also changes. By passing through the lens light bends and it makes any object behind it look bigger.
There are an array of different uses for a magnifier. One that springs to mind is a jeweler. Without a strong magnifier he cannot possible see if a stone like a diamond has any flaws. Or how about a stamp collector, they need to see the most faintest of markings on a stamp. They usually have a magnifier mounted on a stand which is perfectly distanced from the table. Many magnifier stands are adjustable.
But by far the most used is the Sherlock Holmes magnifying glass. Many schools have them in class to study biology. The budding investigator won’t be caught dead without one. They are usually sold with a focal length of 25 centimeters and described as a 2x magnifier.
The truth about finding Sherlock Holmes style magnifying glasses is finally revealed! visit us online to learn and get all the information on magnifying glasses you have been looking for.
