Water coolers have health benefits for consumers

Posted on Jun 20, 2008 12:21:27 AM

Water coolers are found in many types of offices, schools, and other workplaces as a service to their employees and staff because of the positive health benefits of having a regular supply of fresh drinking water available for employees. Modern water coolers provide fresh, clean drinking water by using either a bottled water supply or through a direct mains connection.

Bottled water is filtered to eliminate harmful bacteria while plumbed in water coolers filter the water before it is dispensed. Tap water can contain chemicals and toxins, while bottled water used in coolers is clean and healthy by comparison. So water coolers have obvious health benefits for consumers, keeping people healthy at home or in the office by providing them with safe and fresh water to drink.

Help Support World Hepatitis Day

World Hepatitis Day is held on the 19th of May this year and is promoting the awareness of the “silent killer” Hepatitis. Hepatitis kills 1.5 million people a year and is 100 times more infectious than HIV. The World Hepatitis Alliance, along with 200 patient groups, are preparing to promote the awareness of this disease and help to educate people of the risks and symptoms of this disease in order to hopefully decrease the death toll.

The shocking statistics that one in twelve people are infected with Hepatitis and the disease infects 10 times the amount of people that HIV infects.

World Hepatitis Day has already kicked off in 64 countries and is a worldwide campaign that will hopefully make a difference. To sign up and receive information and advice about the disease and of course to help support the campaign visit www.aminumber12.org.
